Heavy snowfall and icy conditions impacting our supply chains

Dear Customer, Dear Partner,

We would like to inform you about the extreme winter weather conditions currently affecting the Netherlands. The entire country is experiencing significant snowfall, and additional snowfall is forecasted for the coming hours and days. These conditions are having a serious impact on our operational planning and supply chains.

Terminal Operations
Terminal operations are continuing; however, due to slippery roads and quaysides, the operational pace is slower than normal. Weather-sensitive commodities may experience temporary downtime during periods of heavy snowfall. The ongoing weather situation is forcing us to continuously adjust our planning and may result in delays.

Trucking
Our trucking operations are severely impacted. The road network across the Netherlands and surrounding countries is heavily congested due to the weather conditions. Trucks are arriving later than scheduled, moving at reduced speeds, and overall capacity is significantly constrained. As a result, delays are unavoidable and it is currently extremely challenging to provide reliable arrival time estimates. We are doing everything possible to keep our trucking operations running and kindly ask for your understanding and flexibility on the receiving side.

Other Transport Modalities
Other transport modalities, including rail, barge, and container traffic, are also affected. Rail tracks are blocked in several areas, and multiple container terminals have temporarily halted operations.

Our Commitment
Verbrugge remains committed to delivering the best possible service under these challenging circumstances. We will continue to move cargo wherever possible and keep our customers informed of any developments. Should you have any questions, please remain in close contact with your customer relations representative.
